1 1 Section 1. Section 2.12, Code 1997, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new unnumbered paragraph:
1 3 NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH. There is appropriated out of any
1 4 funds in the state treasury not otherwise appropriated, such
1 5 sums as are necessary to establish and maintain toll-free
1 6 telephone service to facilitate communication between elected
1 7 members of the general assembly and the citizens of this
1 8 state. Such service shall be made available during the time
1 9 that the general assembly is in session, including an
1 10 extraordinary session.
1 11 EXPLANATION
1 12 This bill appropriates funds from any unexpended balance in
1 13 the state treasury for the purpose of establishing and
1 14 maintaining toll-free telephone service to facilitate
1 15 communication between elected members of the general assembly
1 16 and the citizens of this state during the time that the
1 17 general assembly is in session.
