  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  461A.7A  APPRAISAL OF LAND AND
  1  2 REAL ESTATE – CONTEST.
  1  3    During a negotiation for a land or real estate purchase,
  1  4 the department shall provide the owner of the land or real
  1  5 estate with a second appraisal if the owner submits a written
  1  6 objection to the first appraisal.  
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    This bill provides that, during a negotiation for a land or
  1  9 real estate purchase, the department of natural resources
  1 10 shall provide the owner of the land or real estate with a
  1 11 second appraisal if the owner submits a written objection to
  1 12 the first appraisal.
