1 1 Section 1. Section 99D.11, Code 1997, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 8. A licensee shall not permit the
1 4 operation of a satellite terminal as defined in section 527.2
1 5 to dispense cash or credit for gambling purposes within a
1 6 pari-mutuel racetrack enclosure or at other facilities and
1 7 parking areas controlled by the licensee.
1 8 Sec. 2. Section 99F.9, Code 1997, is amended by adding the
1 9 following new subsection:
1 10 NEW SUBSECTION. 7. A licensee shall not permit the
1 11 operation of a satellite terminal as defined in section 527.2
1 12 to dispense cash or credit for gambling purposes on an
1 13 excursion gambling boat or at other facilities and parking
1 14 areas controlled by the licensee.
1 15 EXPLANATION
1 16 This bill prohibits a licensee of a pari-mutuel racetrack
1 17 or an excursion gambling boat from permitting the operation of
1 18 a satellite banking terminal within the racetrack enclosure or
1 19 at other facilities and parking areas controlled by the
1 20 licensee, or on the excursion gambling boat to provide cash or
1 21 credit for gambling.
