1 3 #1. Page 2, by inserting after line 4 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. ___. CHILD DAY CARE AVAILABILITY. The
1 6 department of human services shall consult with the
1 7 child day care advisory council and child day care
1 8 resource and referral services in studying the
1 9 availability of child day care services in the state.
1 10 The report of the study shall be submitted to the
1 11 governor and the general assembly by January 1, 1999.
1 12 The report shall include estimates as to the need for
1 13 child day care services in all areas of the state, the
1 14 availability of providers versus the need, and
1 15 identification of the areas with the greatest need and
1 16 the extent of the need."
