1 3 #1. Page 1, by inserting after line 22 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. ___. Section 80A.2, Code 1997, is amended by
1 6 adding the following new subsection:
1 7 NEW SUBSECTION. 9. A person engaged in the
1 8 business of transporting prisoners under a contract
1 9 with the department of corrections, a county sheriff,
1 10 a similar agency from another state, or the federal
1 11 government."
1 12 #2. Page 7, by inserting before line 12 the
1 13 following:
1 14 "Sec. ___. Section 724.4, subsection 4, Code 1997,
1 15 is amended by adding the following new paragraph:
1 16 NEW PARAGRAPH. k. A person engaged in the
1 17 business of transporting prisoners under a contract
1 18 with the department of corrections, a county sheriff,
1 19 a similar agency from another state, or the federal
1 20 government."
1 21 #3. Title page, line 4, by inserting after the
1 22 word "investigators," the following: "exempting
1 23 contractual transportation of prisoners from bail
1 24 enforcement regulation and prohibitions on carrying
1 25 concealed weapons,".
1 26 #4. By renumbering as necessary.
