1 1 Amend the amendment, H-8054, to House File 681, as
1 2 follows:
1 3 #1. Page 1, by striking lines 12 through 29 and
1 4 inserting the following:
1 5 "2. "Environmental audit" means a systematic,
1 6 documented, and objective review conducted by an
1 7 environmental auditor certified by the board of
1 8 environmental auditor certifications for a regulated
1 9 entity of one or more facility operations and
1 10 practices related to compliance with one or more
1 11 environmental requirements and, if deficiencies are
1 12 found, a plan for corrective action. The final audit
1 13 document must be designated as an "audit report" and
1 14 must include the date of the final written report of
1 15 findings for the audit. Once initiated, an audit
1 16 shall be completed within a reasonable time, not to
1 17 exceed six months unless a written request for an
1 18 extension is approved by the director of the
1 19 department based on a showing of reasonable grounds.
1 20 An audit shall not be deemed to be initiated until the
1 21 certified environmental auditor has actively begun the
1 22 evaluation of environmental compliance."
