1 1 Amend the amendment, H-1866, to Senate File 549 as
1 2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
1 3 follows:
1 4 #1. Page 7, line 24, by striking the word
1 5 "subsection." and inserting the following:
1 6 "subsection and inserting in lieu thereof the
1 7 following:
1 8 4. The amount of one hundred thousand dollars to
1 9 be paid to the department of education for
1 10 distribution to the tribal council of the Sac and Fox
1 11 Indian settlement located on land held in trust by the
1 12 secretary of the interior of the United States.
1 13 Moneys allocated under this subsection shall be used
1 14 to supplement, not supplant, federal funds and shall
1 15 be used to improve teacher salaries, implement school
1 16 innovation plans to improve student achievement,
1 17 increase staff development efforts to improve the
1 18 effectiveness of the school curriculum as designated
1 19 in chapter 294A, and for the purposes specified in
1 20 section 256.30. The department of education shall
1 21 adopt rules to ensure that moneys distributed under
1 22 this subsection are used in accordance with this
1 23 subsection."
