  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-1866, to Senate File 549, as
  1  2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
  1  3 follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 7, by striking line 20 and inserting the
  1  5 following:  "of higher learning.
  1  6    Sec.    .  Section 262.34, Code 1997, is amended by
  1  7 adding the following new unnumbered paragraph:
  1  8    NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH.  Any bids solicited and
  1  9 approved by the state board of regents or by
  1 10 institutions under the control of the state board of
  1 11 regents shall require compliance with the standards
  1 12 set forth in the codes, regulations, or procedures
  1 13 required for construction, electrical, and plumbing
  1 14 projects by the city or county in which the project is
  1 15 located.  Apprentices retained for a project must be
  1 16 registered with a state or federally approved
  1 17 apprenticeship training school.""
  1 18    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
