  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-1866, to Senate File 549, as
  1  2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as
  1  3 follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 5 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "#   .  Page 2, by striking lines 12 through 16 and
  1  7 inserting the following:
  1  8    "Sec. ___.  Notwithstanding section 261.21, for the
  1  9 fiscal year beginning July 1, 1997, and ending June
  1 10 30, 1998, a national guard member who has not earned
  1 11 college credit hours in an amount necessary to be
  1 12 considered a junior or senior shall be given highest
  1 13 priority for tuition aid under the national guard
  1 14 tuition aid program.""
  1 15    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
