  1  1    Amend House File 732 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 5, by inserting after line 11 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 403.22, subsection 1, Code
  1  5 1997, is amended by adding the following new
  1  6 unnumbered paragraph:
  1  7    NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH.  For a municipality with
  1  8 a population of five thousand or less, the
  1  9 municipality need not provide any low and moderate
  1 10 income family housing assistance if the municipality
  1 11 has completed a housing needs assessment meeting the
  1 12 standards set out by the department of economic
  1 13 development, which shows no low and moderate income
  1 14 housing need and the department of economic
  1 15 development agrees that no low and moderate family
  1 16 housing assistance is needed."
  1 17    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
