  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-1266, House File 597 as

  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 26 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "#   .  Page 3, by inserting after line 7 the
  1  6 following:
  1  7    "___.  This section shall not be construed so as to
  1  8 cause an applicant for assistance under this chapter
  1  9 to be determined to be ineligible for the assistance
  1 10 solely because, at the time of application, a child in
  1 11 the applicant's family is truant as defined in section
  1 12 299.8.""
