    confirmed:

         Dennis A. Plautz and Nita L. Taggart as members of the City
    Development Board.

                SMALL BUSINESS, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND TOURISM

         Pursuant to Senate Rule 59, the committee on Small Business,
    Economic Development and Tourism assigned to investigate the following
    governors appointments, completed its investigations on March 27, 1996,
    and recommended the appointees be confirmed:

         Philip C. Smith as Director of the Office for State-Federal
    Relations.

         Joan Y. Phillips and Charese E. Yanney as members of the Iowa
    Economic Development Board.

    of the Iowa Seed Capital Corporation.

         Frances S. Fleck and Karla Wright as members of the Small Business
