         Pursuant to Senate Rule 59, the committee on Commerce assigned to
    investigate the following governors appointments, completed its
    investigations on March 27, 1996, and recommended the appointees be
    confirmed:

         Margaret M. Chadwell and Ernest W. Gilson as members of the Credit
    Union Review Board.

                      COMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATION POLICY

         Pursuant to Senate Rule 59, the committee on Communications and
    Information Policy assigned to investigate the following governors
    appointment, completed its investigation on March 27, 1996, and
    recommended the appointee be confirmed:

         Richard H. Opie as a member of the Iowa Telecommunications and
    Technology Commission.

                                    EDUCATION

         Pursuant to Senate Rule 59, the committee on Education assigned to
    investigate the following governors appointments, completed its
    investigations on March 27, 1996, and recommended the appointees be
    confirmed:

         Harriet B. Gottlieb as a member of the Iowa Higher Education Loan
    Authority.

         Marilyn J. Perkins as a member of the School Budget Review
    Committee.

         Susan J. Clouser, Corine A. Hadley, Mary Jean Montgomery and Gene
    E. Vincent as members of the State Board of Education.

                                    JUDICIARY

         Pursuant to Senate Rule 59, the committee on Judiciary assigned to
    investigate the following governors appointment, completed its
    investigation on March 26, 1996, and recommended the appointee be
    confirmed:
