    Senate File 2356

         On motion of Senator Judge, Senate File 2356, a bill for an act
    providing requirements for implementation of new or revised federal
    block grant provisions which affect local governments and providing an
    effective date and applicability provision and placed on the Unfinished
    Business Calendar on March 20, 1996, was taken up for consideration.

         Senator Judge asked and received unanimous consent that House File
    2256 be substituted for Senate File 2356.

    House File 2256

         On motion of Senator Judge, House File 2256, a bill for an act
    providing requirements for implementation of new or revised federal
    block grant provisions which affect local governments and providing an
    effective date and applicability provision, was taken up for
    consideration.

         Senator Judge offered amendment S-5553 filed by her from the floor
    to strike everything after the enacting clause of the bill.
