Chapter 2.32.4, Code of Iowa, requires the Governor to make notice of a deferred appointment which requires confirmation by the Senate. The Iowa Telecommunications and Technology Commission is not specifically directed to take the same action on its appointment requiring confirmation by the Senate, however, we are doing so since it is similar in nature. The Commission is asked to defer the confirmation proceedings for the Executive Director position to the Iowa Telecommunications and Technology Commission for the 1996 legislative session, since the position is currently vacant.
