    pursuant to Section 533.53 for terms beginning May 1, 1996, and ending

         Philip C. Smith, Bowie, Prince Georges County, Maryland, for
    reappointment as the Director of the Office for State-Federal Relations
    pursuant to Section 7F.1 for a term beginning May 1, 1996, and to serve
    at the pleasure of the Governor.

         Gretchen H. Tegeler, West Des Moines, Polk County, for
    reappointment as Director of the Department of Management pursuant to
    Section 8.4 for a term beginning May 1, 1996, and to serve at the
    pleasure of the Governor.

         Linda Hanson, Indianola, Warren County, for reappointment as the
    Director of the Department of Personnel pursuant to Section 19A.1A for a
    term beginning May 1, 1996, and to serve at the pleasure of the
    Governor.

         Harrison Weber, Des Moines, Polk County, for reappointment as a
    member of the Employment Appeal Board pursuant to Section 10A.601 for a
    term beginning May 1, 1996, and ending April 30, 2002.

         As members of the Engineering and Land Surveying Examining Board
    pursuant to Section 542B.3 for terms beginning May 1, 1996, and ending
    April 30, 1999:

         Gwendolyn M. Boeke, Cresco, Howard County, for reappointment; Dr.
    Kenneth A. Brewer, Ames, Story County, for reappointment and Nicholas R.
    Konrady, Webster City, Hamilton County, for appointment.

         As members of the Iowa Board of Veterinary Medicine pursuant to
    Section 169.5 for terms beginning May 1, 1996, and ending April 30,

         Dr. Leroy A. Holmes, Clive, Polk County, for appointment and Norma

         For reappointment as members of the Iowa Council on Human
