                                COMMITTEE REPORT

    WAYS AND MEANS

    Final Bill Action: SENATE FILE 2450 (formerly Senate File 2425), a bill
    for an act establishing certain registration and title plant
    requirements for persons preparing abstracts of title to real property,
    establishing a title plant board of examiners, providing for fees and
    the use of those fees, and providing an effective date.

    Recommendation: APPROVED COMMITTEE BILL.

    Final Vote: Ayes, 9: Palmer, Connolly, Deluhery, Drake, Freeman,
    Iverson, Neuhauser, Priebe and Vilsack. Nays, 3: Husak, Bennett and
    Hedge. Absent or not voting, 3: McLaren, Murphy and Szymoniak.
