    Senate File 2362

         On motion of Senator Deluhery, Senate File 2362, a bill for  an act
    relating to the regulation of activities of state banks and state bank
    affiliates, interstate branching or banking, and personnel of the
    banking division, state banks, and state bank affiliates, and the
    regulation of financial transactions involving such entities and
    personnel, was taken up for consideration.

         Senator Deluhery asked and received unanimous consent that House
    File 2409 be substituted for Senate File 2362.

    House File 2409

         On motion of Senator Deluhery, House File 2409, a bill for  an act
    relating to the regulation of activities of state banks and state bank
    affiliates, interstate branching or banking, and personnel of the
    banking division, state banks, and state bank affiliates, and the
    regulation of financial transactions involving such entities and
    personnel, was taken up for consideration.

         Senator Gronstal offered amendment S-5312 filed by Senators Douglas
    and Gronstal on March 12, 1996, to page 12 of the bill.

         Senator Gronstal asked and received unanimous consent that action
    on amendment S-5312 and House File 2409 be deferred.

    Senate File 2381

         On motion of Senator Szymoniak, Senate File 2381, a bill for an act
    relating to dependent adult abuse and providing penalties, was taken up
    for consideration.

         Senator Szymoniak moved that the bill be read the last time now and
    placed upon its passage, which motion prevailed by a voice vote, and the
    bill was read the last time.

         On the question Shall the bill pass? (S.F. 2381) the vote was:
