    relating to estate issues by modifying certain exemptions and tax rates
    for inheritance taxes, the jurisdiction of the probate court on certain
    testamentary trusts, and fees payable on certain trusts.

    Recommendation: APPROVED COMMITTEE BILL.

    Final Vote: Ayes, 15: Giannetto, Vilsack, McKean, Bartz, Bisignano,
    Boettger, Drake, Fraise, Halvorson, Hammond, Hansen, Maddox, Neuhauser,
    Redfern and Szymoniak. Nays, none.

         *Pursuant to Senate Rule 40, the Legislative Service Bureau
    reported nonsubstantive changes to the members of the Judiciary
    Committee on Senate File 2424 and they were attached to the committee
    report.

    Final Bill Action: SENATE FILE 2425 (SSB 2321), a bill for  an act
    establishing certain registration and title plant requirements for
    persons preparing abstracts of title to real property, establishing a
    title plant board of examiners, providing for fees and the use of those
    fees, and providing an effective date.

    Recommendation: APPROVED COMMITTEE BILL.

    Final Vote: Ayes, 12: Giannetto, Vilsack, McKean, Bartz, Boettger,
    Drake, Fraise, Hammond, Hansen, Neuhauser, Redfern and Szymoniak. Nays,
    none. Pass, 3: Bisignano, Halvorson and Maddox.
