    century farms from economic development areas for purposes of urban
    renewal and providing for the Acts applicability.

         Senate File 2196, by McLaren, a bill for  an act relating to length
    of time for the legal possession of deer meat.

         Read first time and passed on file.

         Senate File 2197, by Husak, McLaren, Bennett, Fink, Drake, and
    Sorensen, a bill for  an act relating to the exemption of unassisted
    coin-operated motor vehicle wash, wax, and vacuum services from the
    state sales, services, and use taxes.

         Read first time and passed on file.



                                LEAVES OF ABSENCE

         Leaves of absence were granted as follows:

         Senator Banks for the day on request of Senator Bartz and Senator
    Vilsack until he arrives on request of Senator Kibbie.



                                     RECESS

         On motion of Senator Horn, the Senate recessed at 9:18 a.m., until
