Kreiman of Davis offered the following amendment H-5049 filed by
him and moved its adoption:
H-5049
1 Amend House File 2137 as follows:
2 1. Page 1, line 31, by striking the word
3 "Estates".
4 2. By striking page 1, line 32, through page 2,
5 line 1, and inserting the following: "A spouse of a
6 decedent taxpayer who was the spouse of the taxpayer
7 when the unconstitutional tax was imposed may file a
8 claim for refund without having to reopen the estate."
Amendment H-5049 lost.
Drake of Pottawattamie moved that the bill be read a last time
now and placed upon its passage which motion prevailed and the
bill was read a last time.
