         Senator Borlaug from 134 residents of Floyd County favoring
    legislation eliminating taxation of retirees pensions.



                            PRESENTATION OF VISITORS

         The Chair welcomed the following visitors who were present in the
    Senate gallery:

         Sixty fifth grade students from BCLUW Middle School, Union,
    accompanied by Mary Pieper and John Ehn. Senators Iverson, Jensen and
    Giannetto.

         Eight eighth grade students from Pine Grove Mennonite, Chester,
    accompanied by Mary Ann Nightengale. Senator Borlaug.

         Senator Szymoniak introduced several participants visiting the
    United States under the Freedom Support Grant Program for Russia to
    study the roles of committees in the legislative process.



                     REPORTS OF THE SECRETARY OF THE SENATE

         MR. PRESIDENT: Pursuant to Senate Rule 21, I report that in
    enrolling Senate File 82, the following correction was made:

         1. Page 4, line 16, the word and number Section 5 were changed to
    the word and number Section 8.

         ALSO: That in enrolling Senate File 462, the following corrections
    were made:

         1. Page 1, line 35, the letter a was changed to the number 5.

         2. Page 2, line 7, the letter b was changed to the letter a.

         3. Page 2, line 14, the letter c was changed to the letter b.

         4. Page 2, line 24, the letter d was changed to the letter c.

         5. Page 2, line 32, the letter e was changed to the letter d.

         6. Page 51, line 13, the words amended to reads as follows: were
    changed to the words amended to read as follows:

         7. Page 52, line 22, the word and number subsection 200 were
    changed to the word and number subsection 14.
