Senate Journal: Page 1261: Tuesday, April 18, 1995

         Senator Halvorson offered amendment S-3416 filed by Senators
    Halvorson and Maddox on April 13, 1995, to page 14 of the bill.

         Senator Murphy raised the point of order that amendment S-3416 was
    not germane to the bill.

         The Chair ruled the point well taken and amendment S-3416 out of
    order.

         Senator Halvorson asked and received unanimous consent that action
    on amendment S-3417 filed by Senators Halvorson and McKean on April 13,
    1995, to page 14 and the title page of the bill be deferred.

         Senator Fraise offered amendment S-3421 filed by Senators Fraise,
    et al., on April 13, 1995, to page 14 of the bill.

         Senator Murphy raised the point of order that amendment S-3421 was
    not germane to the bill.

         The Chair ruled the point not well taken and amendment S-3421 in
    order.

         Senator Fraise moved the adoption of amendment S-3421.

         A record roll call was requested.

         On the question Shall amendment S-3421 be adopted? (S.F. 481) the
    vote was:

         Rule 23, requiring all Senators present to vote except those who
    express a conflict of interest, was invoked.
