         Appropriations

         Establishing a school improvement and technology program, providing
    for properly related matters, and making   appropriations.

    SSB 364
         Appropriations

         Relating to and making appropriations to the state department of
    transportation including allocation and use of moneys from the general
    fund, road use tax fund, and primary road fund, and making
    appropriations to various state agencies for capital projects, to the
    primary road fund, to county fairs and to the Iowa state fair from the
    rebuild Iowa infrastructure account and the general fund, relating to
    the living roadway trust fund and the state roadside specialist, the
    primary road and state highway system, and other transportation-related
    statutory changes, requiring transportation-related studies, making
    technical changes, and providing an effective date.



                           CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION

         The secretary of the senate issued the following certificate of
    recognition:

         West Ridge Elementary School, 4th Grade Odyssey of the Mind Group,
    Harlan - For advancing to World Odyssey of the Mind Competition. Senator
    Boettger (3-27-95).



                            PRESENTATION OF VISITORS

         The Chair welcomed the following visitors who were present in the
    Senate gallery:

         Fifty-eight eighth grade students from Pekin Middle School,
    Packwood, accompanied by Art Milligan. Senator Gettings.
