         Senator Lind called up the appointment of Janet E. Phipps as
    Director of the Department of General Services, placed on the Individual
    Confirmation Calendar on February 23, 1995, and found on page 445 of the
    Senate Journal.

         Senator Lind moved that the foregoing appointment be confirmed by
    the Senate.

         On the question Shall the appointee be confirmed? the vote was:
