         The Senate reconvened at 2:40 p.m., President Boswell presiding.



                     HOUSE MESSAGES RECEIVED AND CONSIDERED

         The following messages were received from the Chief Clerk of the
    House:

         MR. PRESIDENT: I am directed to inform your honorable body that the
    House has on March 23, 1995, passed the following bills in which the
    concurrence of the Senate is asked:

         House File 87, a bill for  an act relating to the goal for the
    amount of Iowas land area provided public open space protection.

         This bill was read first time and passed on file.

         House File 125, a bill for  an act relating to the organization and
    expenses of the county charter commission.

         This bill was read first time and passed on file.

         House File 247, a bill for  an act relating to the regulation of
    insurance, including the authority of the insurance division to regulate
    certain policies and contracts and parties to such policies and
    contracts, establishing fees, and providing civil penalties.

         This bill was read first time and passed on file.

         House File 303, a bill for  an act relating to pipelines and
    underground storage of hazardous liquids, and providing penalties and
    effective and retroactive applicability date provisions.

         This bill was read first time and passed on file.

         House File 425, a bill for  an act repealing air toxics fees.

         This bill was read first time and passed on file.

         House File 428, a bill for  an act relating to the expenditure of
    moneys deposited in an E911 service fund.

         This bill was read first time and passed on file.
