         Senate File 342, by Lind,  a bill for  an act directing the
    department of human services to apply for a federal medical assistance
    waiver for an exception to recovery of medical assistance from a
    recipients estate.

         Senate File 343, by Dvorsky and Banks, a bill for  an act
    appropriating gambling receipts for low-income weatherization programs.

         Read first time and passed on file.

         Senate File 344, by committee on Local Government, a bill for  an
    act prohibiting a city with public safety employees under civil service
    from contracting with or granting a franchise to private contractors for
    those public safety jobs without a public referendum.

         Read first time and placed on calendar.

         Senate File 345, by Jensen and Borlaug, a bill for  an act relating
    to the foundation property tax levy and increase in and the funding of
    the foundation base for purposes of the state school foundation program,
    the increase in the state sales, services, use, and the automobile
    rental excise taxes, making appropriations, and providing effective date
    and applicability provisions.
