                             STATE BOARD OF REGENTS

         Pursuant to Section 7, chapter 1201  Appropriation-Economic
    Development, Acts and Joint Resolutions-1994 Regular Session of the
    Seventy-Fifth General Assembly of the State of Iowa, the  Board of
    Regents is submitting a  report on the progress of Regents institutions
    in meeting the Strategic Plan for Technology Transfer and Economic
    Development.

                        IOWA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY

         Summary Report.  Crime in Iowa - 1993.

                      IOWA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES

         The report from the 1994 Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP)
    Congress held on Saturday, July 16, 1994, in Des Moines.  This report
    describes action taken by the 1994 Congress after review and discussion
    of several REAP-related issues.

                             DEPARTMENT OF PERSONNEL

         A copy of the 1994 Affirmative Action In Iowa report submitted to
    the Department of Management in accordance with Section 19B.5 of the
    Iowa Code.

                        IOWA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY

         Domestic Abuse in Iowa - 1993.  Data from this report is based on
    incidents submitted by the law enforcement agencies throughout Iowa to
    the Iowa Department of Public Safety.

                          DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES

         House File 2430, passed by the 1994 session of the 75th General
    Assembly established the State-County Management Committee.  Part of the
    committees responsibilities was to submit a report making
    recommendations for joint state and county planning, implementation, and
    funding of mental health, mental retardation and developmental
    disability services, including but not limited to developing and
    implementing fiscal and accountability controls, establishing management
    plans, and ensuring that eligible persons have access to appropriate and
    cost - effective services.

                              IOWA UTILITIES BOARD

                             Department of Commerce

         A report filed pursuant to IOWA CODE Section 476.2(6) which
    requires the Iowa Utilities Board to provide on or before December 1,
    1994, a report on the results of energy efficiency plans implemented by
    Iowas nonrate-regulated electric and gas utilities.
