    JUDICIARY

    Final Bill Action: SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 5, (formerly Senate
    Concurrent Resolution 1), a concurrent resolution to request that
    Congress propose a Constitutional amendment, for ratification by the
    states, which would specify that the Congress and the states have the
    power to prohibit the physical desecration of the American flag.

    Recommendation: APPROVED COMMITTEE BILL.

    Final Vote: Ayes, 11: Giannetto, Vilsack, McKean, Bartz, Bisignano,
    Drake, Fraise, Halvorson, Hansen, Maddox and  Redfern. Nays, 2: Hammond
    and Neuhauser. Absent or not voting, 2: Boettger and Szymoniak.
