AFTERNOON SESSION
The Senate reconvened at 1:32 p.m., President Boswell presiding.
COMMITTEE FROM THE HOUSE
A committee from the House appeared and announced that pursuant to
law the House was ready to receive the Senate in joint convention for
the purpose of canvassing the votes for Governor and Lieutenant
Governor.
Senator Horn moved that the Senate proceed to the House chamber in
accordance with House Concurrent Resolution 1, duly adopted.
The motion prevailed by a voice vote and the Senate proceeded to
the House under the direction of the Secretay of the Senate and the
Sergeant-at-Arms.
JOINT CONVENTION
In accordance with law and concurrent resolution duly adopted, the
joint convention was called to order at 1:40 p.m., President Boswell
presiding.
Senator Horn moved that the roll call be dispensed with and that
the President of the joint convention be authorized to declare a quorum
present, which motion prevailed by a voice vote.
