RULES SUSPENDED Siegrist of Pottawattamie asked and received unanimous consent that the rules be suspended for the immediate consideration of Senate File 17. Senate File 17, a bill for an act establishing the state percent of growth for the school budget year beginning July 1, 1995, for purposes of the state school foundation program and providing effective and applicability date provisions, with report of committee recommending amendment and passage, was taken up for consideration. The House stood at ease at 9:11 a.m., until the fall of the gavel. The House resumed session at 9:58 a.m., Speaker Corbett in the chair. Siegrist of Pottawattamie asked and received unanimous consent that Senate File 17 be deferred and that the bill retain its place on the calendar. INTRODUCTION OF BILL House File 120, by committee on education, a bill for an act establishing a schools making advances through technology program, creating a fund, making appropriations, and providing for related matters. Read first time and referred to committee on appropriations. MESSAGES FROM THE SENATE The following messages were received from the Senate: Mr. Speaker: I am directed to inform your honorable body that the Senate has on January 31, 1995, adopted the following resolution in which the concurrence of the House is asked: Senate Joint Resolution 6, a joint resolution proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the State of Iowa to restrict the expenditure of state license fees
