1 1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO.
1 2 BY COMMITTEE ON RULES AND ADMINISTRATION
1 3 A Resolution honoring Senator Wayne Bennett for his
1 4 years of legislative service.
1 5 WHEREAS, Senator Wayne Bennett will this year
1 6 complete his first term of office in the Senate and
1 7 twenty-four years of service to the state of Iowa as a
1 8 member of the General Assembly; and
1 9 WHEREAS, Senator Bennett has served honorably and
1 10 has unselfishly given of his time and efforts to fur-
1 11 ther the interests of the state of Iowa and to provide
1 12 beneficial programs for the citizens of Iowa; and
1 13 WHEREAS, it is proper that Senator Bennett be
1 14 honored for his many years of service to the state of
1 15 Iowa; NOW THEREFORE,
1 16 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, That the Senate pay
1 17 tribute to Senator Bennett and express its gratitude
1 18 for the service rendered by him; and
1 19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Senate present to
1 20 Senator Bennett his Senate chair in appreciation for
1 21 his service.
