1 1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO.
1 2 BY COMMITTEE ON RULES AND ADMINISTRATION
1 3 A Resolution honoring Senator Tony Bisignano.
1 4 WHEREAS, Senator Tony Bisignano is retiring from
1 5 legislative office after completing one term in office
1 6 as a state Senator and three terms as a member of the
1 7 House of Representatives; and
1 8 WHEREAS, Senator Bisignano's distinguished career
1 9 as a state legislator has included service as the
1 10 Senate President Pro Tempore during the Seventy-sixth
1 11 General Assembly; and
1 12 WHEREAS, Senator Bisignano's service as Chairperson
1 13 of the Economic Development Appropriations
1 14 Subcommittee and as Vice Chair of the Rules and
1 15 Administration Committee and State Government
1 16 Committee is well recognized; and
1 17 WHEREAS, Senator Bisignano's dedication,
1 18 leadership, and skills as an orator are well
1 19 recognized; and
1 20 WHEREAS, Senator Bisignano has served honorably and
1 21 has unselfishly given of his time and efforts to
1 22 further the interests of the State of Iowa and to
1 23 provide beneficial programs for the citizens of Iowa;
1 24 and
1 25 WHEREAS, Senator Bisignano has served on many other
1 26 standing committees throughout his ten years of
1 27 legislative service and has been an influential and
1 28 devoted legislator in this state; NOW THEREFORE,
1 29 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, That the Senate pay
1 30 tribute to Senator Tony Bisignano for his devoted
2 1 service to the Iowa General Assembly and the citizens
2 2 of this state and wish him the very best in the years
2 3 ahead; and
2 4 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That an official copy of
2 5 this Resolution be prepared and presented to Senator
2 6 Tony Bisignano.
