1 1 SENATE RESOLUTION NO.
1 2 BY GIANNETTO
1 3 A Senate Resolution relating to the provision of laptop
1 4 computers for each senator's desk.
1 5 WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Senate to take
1 6 advantage of existing and emerging technology in
1 7 seeking to serve the citizens of this state and
1 8 complete its work more effectively and efficiently;
1 9 and
1 10 WHEREAS, providing a laptop computer for the use of
1 11 each senator will enable the Senate to complete its
1 12 work more effectively and efficiently; NOW THEREFORE,
1 13 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, That the Senate
1 14 provide to each senator, for use during the
1 15 legislative session, a laptop computer; and
1 16 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Senate establish a
1 17 committee to study the costs and benefits associated
1 18 with expanding the computer resources available to the
1 19 Senate, and identify any potential cost savings
1 20 associated with such computerization.
