1 1 That the foregoing proposed amendment to the Constitution
1 2 of the United States is hereby ratified and consented to by
1 3 the State of Iowa and the General Assembly thereof; and
1 4 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Governor of the State of
1 5 Iowa forward certified copies of this resolution over the Seal
1 6 of the State of Iowa to the Secretary of State of the United
1 7 States, to the Presiding Officer of the Senate of the United
1 8 States, to the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the
1 9 United States, and to the administrator of the United States
1 10 General Services Administration.
1 11 EXPLANATION
1 12 This joint resolution ratifies a proposed amendment to the
1 13 Constitution of the United States that relates to a balanced
1 14 budget.
