1 1 Section 1. DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES – CHILD DAY CARE.
1 2 There is appropriated from the general fund of the state to
1 3 the department of human services for the fiscal year beginning
1 4 July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996, to supplement the
1 5 appropriation made in 1995 Iowa Acts, chapter 205, section 6,
1 6 the following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to
1 7 be used for the purpose designated:
1 8 For state child care assistance in accordance with 1995
1 9 Iowa Acts, chapter 205, section 6, subsections 2, 3, and 4:
1 10 .................................................. $ 2,000,000
1 11 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act, being deemed of
1 12 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.
1 13 EXPLANATION
1 14 This bill makes a fiscal year 1995-1996 supplemental
1 15 appropriation to the department of human services for purposes
1 16 of state child day care assistance. This assistance is
1 17 provided on a ranked priority basis to families and parents
1 18 based upon various percentages of the federal poverty level
1 19 and related criteria.
1 20 The bill takes effect upon enactment.
