1 1 Section 1. Section 99F.11, Code 1995, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 3A. Two million dollars of the adjusted
1 4 gross receipts tax are appropriated annually to the division
1 5 of community action agencies of the department of human rights
1 6 for qualifying energy conservation programs for low-income
1 7 persons, including but not limited to, energy weatherization
1 8 projects.
1 9 EXPLANATION
1 10 This bill appropriates $2,000,000 annually from the
1 11 adjusted gross receipts tax received from gambling games under
1 12 section 99F.11 to the division of community action agencies of
1 13 the department of human rights for qualifying energy
1 14 conservation programs for low-income persons, including but
1 15 not limited to, energy weatherization projects.
