  1  1    Amend the amendment, S-5700, to House File 2421, as
  1  2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the House, as
  1  3 follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 3, line 16, by inserting after the word
  1  5 "war" the following:  "and the Allison monument
  1  6 located".
  1  7    #2.  Page 3, by striking line 18 and inserting the
  1  8 following:  
  1  9 "................................................. $    200,000
  1 10    Of the appropriation in this section, $50,000 shall
  1 11 be used for renovation and repair of the Allison
  1 12 monument located on the state capitol complex.  An
  1 13 effort shall be made by the department of education to
  1 14 match this appropriation from the citizens and the
  1 15 school children of Iowa as occurred when the monument
  1 16 was initially built."
