  1  1    Amend Senate File 2370 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 5, by inserting after line 18 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 476.43, Code 1995, is amended
  1  5 by adding the following new subsection:
  1  6    NEW SUBSECTION.  7.  The board shall require that
  1  7 an electric utility enter into a long-term contract
  1  8 pursuant to this section and section 476.44, by
  1  9 January 1, 1997.  An electric utility that fails to
  1 10 comply with the contract requirements of this section
  1 11 shall be subject to a civil penalty under section
  1 12 476.51."
  1 13    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
