PAG LIN 1 1 Amend the amendment, S-5489, to House File 2449, as 1 2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the House, as 1 3 follows: 1 4 #1. Page 7, by inserting after line 31 the 1 5 following: 1 6 "Sec. . Section 56.6, subsection 1, paragraphs 1 7 c and d, Code Supplement 1995, are amended to read as 1 8 follows: 1 9 c. A candidate's committee for a candidate for the 1 10 general assembly at a special election for which the 1 11 governor is required to give not less than forty days' 1 12 notice under section 69.14 shall file a report by the 1 13 fourteenth day prior to the special election which is 1 14 current through the nineteenth day prior to the 1 15 special election. A candidate's committee for a 1 16 candidate for the general assembly at a special 1 17 election for which the governor is required to give 1 18 not less than eighteen days' notice under section 1 19 69.14 shall file a report five days prior to the 1 20 election, that shall be current as of five days prior 1 21 to the filing deadline. Any report filed pursuant to 1 22 this paragraph shall be timely filed, or mailed 1 23 bearing a United States postal service postmark dated 1 24 on or before the due date. 1 25 d.CommitteesThe following committees shall file 1 26 their first reports five days prior to any election in 1 27 which the ballot contains the name of the candidate or 1 28 the local ballot issue which the committee supports or 1 29 opposes: 1 30 (1) A candidate's committee for municipal and 1 31 school elective officesand. 1 32 (2) A candidate's committee for a county elective 1 33 office at a special election. 1 34 (3) Political committees for local ballot issues 1 35shall file their first reports five days prior to any1 36election in which the name of the candidate or the1 37local ballot issue which they support or oppose1 38appears on the printed ballot and. 1 39 These committees shall file their next report on 1 40 the first day of the month following the final 1 41 election in a calendar year in which the candidate's 1 42 name or the ballot issue appears on the ballot.A1 43committee supporting or opposing a candidate for a1 44municipal or school elective office or a local ballot1 45issueThese committees shallalsootherwise file 1 46 disclosure reports on the nineteenth day of January 1 47 and October of each year in which the candidate or 1 48 ballot issue does not appear on the ballot and on the 1 49 nineteenth day of January, May, and July of each year 1 50 in which the candidate or ballot issue appears on the 2 1 ballot, until the committee dissolves.These reports2 2 However, a candidate's committee for a county elective 2 3 office at a special election shall file its regular 2 4 disclosure reports as provided in paragraph "a". 2 5 Any report filed pursuant to this lettered 2 6 paragraph shall be current to five days prior to the 2 7 filing deadline andare consideredshall be timely 2 8 filed,ifor mailed bearing a United States postal 2 9 service postmark on or before the due date." 2 10 #2.
