1 2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the House, as
1 3 follows:
1 4 #1. Page 1, by inserting after line 5 the
1 5 following:

1 8 " . For enhanced forgivable loans:

1 10 The amount of an enhanced forgivable loan shall not
1 11 exceed $11,500. To qualify for a loan a person shall:
1 12 (1) Be required to practice primary care in a
1 13 community designated as underserved by state and
1 14 federal authorities and having a population of less
1 15 than 20,000. A student must provide one year of
1 16 practice for every year of loan forgiveness.
1 17 (2) Have shown superior academic achievement and
1 18 demonstrated exceptional financial need during the
1 19 last year of undergraduate study.
1 20 The commission shall prescribe by rule the terms of
1 21 repayment and forgiveness. The rules shall be
1 22 consistent with the requirements of section 261.19A.
1 23 The commission shall deposit payments made by loan
1 24 recipients into the fund created in section 261.19B.""
