1 1 Amend Senate File 2446 as follows:
1 2 #1. By striking page 13, line 20, through page 14,
1 3 line 8, and inserting the following:
1 4 "Sec. . IOWA AGRICULTURE 2000 CONFERENCE.
1 5 There is appropriated from the general fund of the
1 6 state to Iowa state university for the fiscal year
1 7 beginning July 1, 1996, and ending June 30, 1997, the
1 8 following amount, or so much thereof as is necessary,
1 9 to be used for the purpose designated:
1 10 To support Iowa state university, in cooperation
1 11 with the farm section of the attorney general's
1 12 office, in sponsoring an Iowa agriculture 2000
1 13 conference, with assistance provided by the department
1 14 of agriculture and land stewardship and Iowa commodity
1 15 organizations, for independent agricultural producers
1 16 and other persons interested in the future of Iowa
1 17 agriculture:
1 18 .................................................. $ 80,000
1 19 Moneys appropriated by this section shall be used
1 20 to defray expenses incurred by Iowa state university
1 21 and the farm section of the attorney general's office
1 22 in planning and sponsoring the conference."
