1 1 Amend Senate File 2245 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 62, by inserting after line 28 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. . Section 411.6, subsection 1, Code 1995,
1 5 is amended by adding the following new paragraph:
1 6 NEW PARAGRAPH. d. In lieu of retirement pursuant
1 7 to paragraphs "a" through "c" with twenty-two years of
1 8 service and upon attaining the age of fifty-five, a
1 9 member may retire upon written application to the
1 10 system who has served twenty-five or more years of
1 11 service.
1 12 Sec. . Section 411.6, subsection 2, paragraph
1 13 d, unnumbered paragraph 1, Code 1995, is amended to
1 14 read as follows:
1 15 Commencing July 1, 1990, if the member has
1 16 completed more than twenty-two years of creditable
1 17 service, or twenty-five years of creditable service
1 18 pursuant to subsection 1, paragraph "d", the service
1 19 retirement allowance shall consist of a pension which
1 20 equals the amount provided in paragraphs "b" and "c",
1 21 plus an additional percentage as set forth below:"
1 22 #2. Page 65, by inserting after line 5 the
1 23 following:
1 24 "Sec. . Section 411.6, subsection 12, paragraph
1 25 d, Code 1995, is amended to read as follows:
1 26 d. A retired member eligible for benefits under
1 27 subsection 1 of this section is not eligible for the
1 28 readjustment of pensions provided in this subsection
1 29 unless the member served twenty-two years and attained
1 30 the age of fifty-five years prior to the member's
1 31 termination of employment, or the member has served
1 32 twenty-five years and retired pursuant to subsection
1 33 1, paragraph "d"."
