1 3 #1. Page 1, by striking lines 12 through 16 and
1 4 inserting the following:
1 5 "1. a. There is appropriated from the general
1 6 fund of the state to the department of education for
1 7 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1996, and ending
1 8 June 30, 1997, the sum of fifteen million dollars for
1 9 the school improvement technology program.
1 10 b. There is appropriated from the rebuild Iowa
1 11 infrastructure account of the state to the department
1 12 of education for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
1 13 1996, and ending June 30, 1997, the sum of fifteen
1 14 million dollars for the school improvement technology
1 15 program.
1 16 c. There is appropriated from the general fund of
1 17 the state to the department of education for each
1 18 fiscal year of the fiscal period beginning July 1,
1 19 1997, and ending June 30, 2001, the sum of thirty
1 20 million dollars for the school improvement technology
1 21 program."

1 23 inserting the following: "in".
1 24 #3. Page 1, by striking lines 19 and 20 and
1 25 inserting the following: "which moneys are
1 26 appropriated, the amount of moneys allocated to school
1 27 districts shall".

1 29 "1." the following: "The department of human services
1 30 shall certify the average student yearly enrollments
1 31 of the state training school, the Iowa juvenile home,

2 17 utilized to improve student achievement, and includes
2 18 an evaluation component. Plans and an annual progress
2 19 report shall be submitted to the departments of human
2 20 services and education."
