  1  1    Amend House File 579, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 2, by striking lines 6 through 17 and
  1  4 inserting the following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  ELECTIVE EXECUTIVE OFFICIALS.
  1  6    1.  The annual salary rates specified in this
  1  7 section are effective for the fiscal years beginning
  1  8 July 1, 1995, July 1, 1996, and July 1, 1997, and for
  1  9 subsequent fiscal years until otherwise provided by
  1 10 the general assembly.  The salaries provided for in
  1 11 this section shall be paid from funds appropriated to
  1 12 the department or agency specified in this section
  1 13 pursuant to any Act of the general assembly or if the
  1 14 appropriation is not sufficient, from the salary
  1 15 adjustment fund.
  1 16    2.  The following annual salary rates are effective
  1 17 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1995, and shall
  1 18 be paid to the person holding the position indicated
  1 19 commencing with the pay period beginning June 30,
  1 20 1995:
  1 21    a.  OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR
  1 22    (1)  Salary for the governor:  
  1 23 .................................................. $     82,269
  1 24    (2)  Salary for the lieutenant governor:  
  1 25 .................................................. $     62,400
  1 26    b.  DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND LAND STEWARDSHIP
  1 27    Salary for the secretary of agriculture:  
  1 28 .................................................. $     65,580
  1 29    c.  DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE
  1 30    Salary for the attorney general:  
  1 31 .................................................. $     79,958
  1 32    d.  OFFICE OF THE AUDITOR OF STATE
  1 33    Salary for the auditor of state:  
  1 34 .................................................. $     65,580
  1 35    e.  OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE
  1 36    Salary for the secretary of state:  
  1 37 .................................................. $     65,580
  1 38    f.  OFFICE OF THE TREASURER OF STATE
  1 39    Salary for the treasurer of state:  
  1 40 .................................................. $     65,580
  1 41    3.  The following annual salary rates are effective
  1 42 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1996, and shall
  1 43 be paid to the person holding the position indicated
  1 44 commencing with the pay period beginning June 28,
