  1  1    Amend House File 578, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 4, by striking lines 4 through 8 and
  1  4 inserting the following:
  1  5    "3.  Up to twenty sites identified by the
  1  6 commission which are Part III authorized users and
  1  7 which are located within one and one-half miles from a
  1  8 national guard fiber optic cable route used or to be
  1  9 used for connecting a facility.  In determining which
  1 10 sites to connect pursuant to this subsection, the
  1 11 commission shall consider the potential savings which
  1 12 may result when compared with other alternatives for
  1 13 connecting such sites."
