  1  1    Amend Senate File 484 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 15, by inserting after line 2 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "The department of management shall conduct a study
  1  5 of the positions of deputy director throughout the
  1  6 executive branch of state government.  The study shall
  1  7 include the responsibilities of each deputy director,
  1  8 the salaries of the deputy directors, the number of
  1  9 deputy director positions, and the variation of
  1 10 responsibilities among the deputy director positions.
  1 11 The department shall report its findings to the
  1 12 chairpersons and ranking members of the joint
  1 13 subcommittees on oversight, audit and government
  1 14 reform, and to the legislative fiscal bureau by
  1 15 September 1, 1995."
