  1  1    Amend House File 507, as passed by the House, as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting before line 1 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Section 1.  Section 19A.3, Code 1995, is amended
  1  6 by adding the following new subsection:
  1  7    NEW SUBSECTION.  23.  Up to six nonprofessional
  1  8 employees designated at the discretion of each
  1  9 statewide elected official."
  1 10    #2.  Page 1, by inserting after line 4 the
  1 11 following:
  1 12    "Sec. 2.  NEW SECTION.  19A.3A  EMPLOYEES OF
  1 13 STATEWIDE ELECTED OFFICIALS.
  1 14    The exempt position classifications of employees of
  1 15 statewide elected officials as of June 30, 1994, shall
  1 16 remain exempt and any employees subsequently hired to
  1 17 fill any exempt position vacancies shall be classified
  1 18 as exempt employees."
  1 19    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
