  1  1    Amend Senate File 358 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 3, by inserting after line 35 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  REPORT BY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.
  1  5 The department of transportation shall, by January 15,
  1  6 1996, submit a report to the general assembly
  1  7 regarding the number of habitual offender contested
  1  8 cases which take place on or after the effective date
  1  9 of this Act.  The report shall also contain
  1 10 information regarding the average length and cost of
  1 11 conducting the hearings."
  1 12    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
