1 4 "Sec. . NEW SECTION. 294B.4A IOWA CENTER FOR
1 5 EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY.
1 6 An Iowa center for education technology is
1 7 established at the university of northern Iowa to
1 8 serve as a focal point for coordination,
1 9 communication, study, and dissemination of training
1 10 and support services for assuring that each educator
1 11 has the opportunity to become competent in the use of
1 12 information technology and is able to integrate
1 13 information technology into the educator's teaching
1 14 and administrative duties, and into the learning
1 15 processes of the educator's students.
1 16 The center shall have no formal organization but
1 17 shall be a virtual center using a temporary team
1 18 leader approach. Members of the teams may be public
1 19 and private entities of higher education, information
1 20 technology companies, school districts, individual
1 21 educators, employees of the state department of
1 22 education and the area education agencies,
1 23 consultants, parents, students, and other interested
1 24 public and private persons and organizations."
